Technology Support Services
We offer free and donation-based IT consulting services for non-profit organizations. We are particularly interested in helping organizations set up public computer labs and wireless networks. Contact us at support@freeitathens.org with your needs to see how we can help.
Equipment Grants
We have refurbished computers and computer accessories that we make available to non-profit organizations and community groups in Athens. These Internet-ready computers run the Ubuntu operating system and open-source software not Microsoft Windows. Groups that are in need of computers should complete our grant application and deliver it during our open hours or mail it to our post office box. Training
We are always eager to partner with non-profits and community organizations that are interested in developing training courses. Areas we are particularly interested in are:
- Basic software/hardware skills and knowledge development. We do not provide trainings using proprietary software (e.g. Microsoft Office).
- Training in usage and awareness of free and open source software.
- Computer and Internet security and safety.
