Free IT Athens has refurbished desktop computers and accessories for sale!! The price of a complete desktop computer is $50. This includes all the necessary components, including the keyboard, mouse, and monitor (CRT not LCD). When available, we sell LCD monitors starting at $30 for 15", $40 for 17", $50 for 19", and $60 for 21".
When available, we sell dual core computers (computer only, no accessories included) for $120. Our computers are high-speed internet ready and come with the Ubuntu operating system pre-installed not Microsoft Windows. If you are interested in purchasing one, come to our next open hours.
We do not sell laptops. If you are in need of a laptop computer, you may volunteer for one. For more information on volunteering, click here. All computer equipment we provide to the community is donated to us, therefore, each computer is unique. All of our systems, however, meet these minimum specifications:
- 1300 MHz processor
- 512MB of RAM
- 10GB hard drive
