Volunteer with Free IT Athens on Martin Luther King, Jr.'s National Day of Service (January 16th, 2012)

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?"  Each year thousands of Americans all around the nation answer this question by dedicating a day of service in honor of King's vision of peaceful communities.  Join Free IT Athens in helping those in the Athens community that do not have access to technology by refurbishing computers and recycling non-working equipment in an environmentally responsible manner.

If you have been interested in volunteering with Free IT Athens but have not had a chance to, are interested in learning more about computers, or just want to help out, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss!

  • What: Volunteers will learn how to successfully convert non-working computers into working computers for Athens residents in need. Computers that cannot be refurbished will be recycled.
  • Where: 2092 Prince Avenue Athens, GA
  • When: Monday January 16th from 10am-1pm Sign-up for this event  is required.  If you would like to sign-up for this event, please click here. (HandsOn Northeast Georgia account required, sign-up is free)
